Online psychotherapy: Take care of your mental health without leaving home
Is online psychotherapy for me?
Every internal struggle exhausts us, and talking to a psychologist or psychotherapist about emotional and mental difficulties, allows us to deal with them faster.
When you feel helplessness, overwhelming sadness, constant tension, or face insomnia, eating disorders or other mental disorders, it is essential to talk to a specialist.
If:
❌ You don't like crowds;
❌ You feel uncomfortable in the company of other people in the waiting room at the doctor's office;
❌ You are worried about meeting someone you know in a psychologist's or psychiatrist's office;
❌ It is difficult for you to talk about problems during a session when a specialist is right next to you;
❌ You are immobile or have mobility problems;
❌ You live outside the country, but want to talk to a therapist in your native language;
❌ A psychologist or psychiatrist accepts at an office far from your place of residence;
then take advantage of support in the form of online at our center, without leaving home.
Online psychotherapy will help you avoid many stressful situations and promote openness in conversation. It is ideal for people who are shy, secretive or have mobility problems.
Is online therapy effective?
✅ Online psychotherapy is just as effective as traditional therapy, as confirmed by a number of scientific studies.
✅ For many people, using this form of psychological help is a good alternative. Consultation in the comfort of their own home lowers their stress levels.
✅ Online meetings save time and lower costs (unlike inpatient therapy, where you have to commute).
✅ You will get an appointment with a therapist online much faster than a traditional office visit. This is of great importance when you are in a crisis situation and need immediate psychological help.
What does online psychotherapy look like?
As part of the agreed therapy contract, the rules of therapy are determined, including its duration and the length and frequency of meetings. At the CPP Professional Assistance Center, therapy sessions are held by phone or via the Internet, using the communicator of choice.
If you decide to have sessions in the form of online, you can do it from any place that guarantees you a stable Internet connection. This will ensure a comfortable meeting with a psychotherapist or psychologist.
Are there contraindications to online therapy?
Before working with you online, the psychotherapist or psychologist must check whether you can participate in this form of therapy. To be sure, they will ask you the appropriate questions. Visits will take place online if you do not have contraindications such as:
serious mental disorders or personality disorders;
psychotic states;
Self-aggressive behavior or problems controlling aggression;
recurrent suicidal thoughts;
addiction to psychoactive substances.
